In the midst of powerlifting training, she discovered a small lump that led to a cancer diagnosis. Now, Dee has a crucial message for fellow veterans – be proactive. Just as we gear up for military life, it's equally important to gear up for a healthy hair journey. It may demand time and resilience, but the payoff is absolutely worth it.
Dee came into our home salon and met with Markeisha for a wig consultation, not knowing the empowerment she carries. We are Select Your Crown agreed she needed to be our first 2023 wig recipient featured on channel 5.

Meet Carolyn, a true force to be reckoned with! After 21 and 1/2 years of dedicated service in the US Army, she hung up her uniform in 1999 at Fort Campbell. But that was just the beginning of her remarkable story.
Carolyn ventured into the business world, and now, 24 years later, her enterprise is still going strong. An entrepreneur with grit and resilience, she's proven that the spirit of a warrior extends beyond the battlefield.
Adding a touch of inspiration to her journey is Carolyn's 30+ year battle with alopecia. In 2021, she became a wig Select Your Crown recipent, turning a page in her story of strength and triumph.
